The festival
The XXXV International Istanbul Eurasia Summer Culture Festival – 2nd Edition takes place in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 15–21 July 2027.
Connecting Europe and Asia, the festival celebrates international friendship and artistic expression in one of the world’s most unique cities. Participants can combine performances with cultural discovery and sightseeing.

- International travel to Istanbul.
- Competition entry fees: €60 per group or €30 per solo/duet. Festival-only participants pay no competition entry fee.
- Organizer-arranged local transport for groups arriving by plane, covering airport transfers, excursions and festival activities: €15 per person/day for groups under 14 participants; €12 per person/day for groups of more than 20 participants. The rate for 14–20 participants is not clearly specified and must be confirmed directly.
- Optional excursions.
- Single rooms, additional double rooms and special accommodation requests.
- Optional lunch packets, available on request.
- Parking and fuel for groups using their own buses.

Accommodation in central Istanbul, in rooms with 2–4 beds.

- 4/5★ hotel package: €220 per person.

The WOFA festival page mentions both a 10% guarantee fee and a €600 non-refundable group deposit in the accommodation conditions. Confirm how these two payment rules apply directly with the organizer before final booking.

Participation
Who Can Participate
The festival welcomes children, youth and adults, including theatre troupes and cultural groups. Groups from up to 8 countries can participate.
The festival and competition are open to amateur groups and performers in the following categories:
- Folk dance: traditional and stylized
- Modern dance
- Classical and neo-classical dance
- Folk music
- Instrumental music
- Vocal solo, duet and trio
- Traditional / authentic folk vocal
- Choirs: children, female, male and mixed
- Brass bands
- Majorettes
- Solo, duet, trio and group performances
- Sports groups
Age Categories
- Children: under 8 years
- Youth: up to 16 years
- Adults: from 16 years
- Veterans: 50+ years
The organizer may allow limited age flexibility within some categories.
Competition Conditions
- Groups may enter a maximum of 2 competition categories, plus solo or duet.
- Performances are judged by experienced international jury members.
- International competition rules apply.
Cultural Exchange
- Groups should bring their national flag.
- Cultural exchange gifts are recommended.
Health & Travel Insurance
Medical and travel insurance are the responsibility of participants.
Performance & Stage
- Performances take place at open-air venues across different Istanbul municipalities.
- Competition performances for folk dance, music, choir and brass band: approximately 6–8 minutes.
- General festival performances: approximately 10–12 minutes.
- Each group may present 1 competition performance and 1 festival performance.
- Each group may perform on a maximum of 2 evenings.
- Stage lighting and microphones are provided.
