The festival

XXXII International Music & Dance Festival “OHRID FEST” takes place in Ohrid, North Macedonia, from 1–5 July 2027.

International groups come together for public performances in one of North Macedonia’s most important cultural destinations, combining festival evenings with sightseeing, cultural monuments, workshops and social activities.

Thursday 1 July

Arrival in Ohrid

  1. Arrival in Ohrid and hotel check-in.

  2. Lunch at the hotel.

  3. Dinner at the hotel.

  4. Welcome reception with group leaders.

Depending on the selected accommodation package, the price may include:

  • Separately priced optional excursions and activities are not included in the basic package.

Participation

The festival welcomes folklore groups, modern dance groups, choirs, majorette teams, brass bands, orchestras and other performing arts groups.

  • Prepare your performance program according to the organizer’s instructions and bring the materials requested for participation.
  • Bring your national flag and group identification materials.
  • Provide the required participant information, travel details and performance information within the deadlines supplied by the organizer.

Performance & Stage

  • The organizer provides the performance stage.
  • The exact official festival program is confirmed approximately one month before arrival.

Excursions

Available sightseeing options include:

  • Ohrid Sightseeing: St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church and Bridge of Wishes.
  • Lake Ohrid Cruise: including Museum on Water and St. Naum Monastery.
  • Struga Sightseeing: River Crni Drim, Vevchani Ethno Village and the cave church in Kalishta.
