The festival

The XXXI International Festival for Dance and Songs “OHRID EASTER FESTIVAL” 2027 takes place in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The festival combines public performances with sightseeing and leisure activities.

Arrival in Ohrid

  1. 15 April 2027: Arrival in Ohrid and hotel accommodation.

  2. Lunch at the hotel.

  3. Dinner at the hotel.

  4. Welcome reception.

Price includes

  • Meals according to the selected accommodation plan.

  • Tourist tax.
  • Optional excursions.
  • Lake Ohrid boat cruise.
  • Additional room or accommodation supplements.
  • International travel to and from Ohrid.

  • Medical expenses, which are covered by the participating group.
  • Any additional transport or services not specifically included in the selected package.

Accommodation is provided in selected partner hotels in Ohrid according to the chosen package and availability. Room allocation depends on group size, hotel availability and the selected accommodation category.

Meal plans should be specified according to the individual accommodation option. Final hotel allocation may be confirmed closer to arrival.

Booking & Payment Terms

  • A 10% guarantee fee is required in advance after acceptance and is deducted from the final amount.
  • The deposit must be paid within 10 days after acceptance to secure participation.
  • After application and advance payment, the organizer provides further payment instructions.
  • The remaining payment is completed according to the organizer’s instructions, generally upon arrival.
  • Room supplements should be specified according to the individual accommodation option.

Participation

Who Can Participate

Folk dance groups, modern dance groups, choirs, majorette teams, brass bands, orchestras and ballroom dance groups from around the world are welcome. There is no age limit and no limit on the number of participants or accompanying persons.

What to Bring

  • Bring your national flag and a visible board showing your group name and country.
  • Around 6–8 small gifts are recommended for exchange.
  • Photos, videos and a short group history may be submitted for promotional use.

Visa & Invitations

After application and advance payment, the organizer provides the official invitation.

Health Insurance

Each participating group is responsible for arranging its own personal responsibility and health insurance.

Performance & Stage

  • Each group should prepare at least one performance of approximately 10–12 minutes.
  • Performances may be accompanied by a live orchestra or recorded music on USB.
  • The organizer provides the performance stage.
  • The organizer may adjust the detailed schedule according to organizational requirements and the final number of participating groups.

Excursions

Optional activities may include Ohrid sightseeing, a boat cruise on Lake Ohrid, a visit to Struga and other local sightseeing activities. There are opportunities to explore Ohrid’s old town, the lake and nearby cultural attractions.
