The festival

XXIII International Music & Folk-Dance Festival “ISTRA SUMMER FEST” will take place from 2 to 6 July 2027in Pula, Croatia, with the wider programme connected to Pula, Rovinj and Rijeka.

The festival is open to folk ensembles, choral groups, brass bands, orchestras, modern dance groups and majorette teams, including children, youth and adult participants. Its aim is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and create opportunities for friendship and cultural exchange through music and dance.

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL

14:00 – Arrival, hotel accommodation and free time / beach time.

18:00–20:00 – Dinner.

21:00 – Free time.

DAY 2

07:00–10:00 – Breakfast.

10:00–15:00 – Beach time or optional excursions.

18:30–20:00 – Dinner.

21:00 – Meeting with festival representative.

DAY 3

07:00–10:00 – Breakfast.

10:00–18:00 – Beach time or excursions.

18:00–20:00 – Dinner.

21:00 – Festival Evening.

DAY 4

07:00–10:00 – Breakfast.

10:00–18:00 – Beach time or excursions.

18:00–20:00 – Dinner.

21:00 – Disco Party at the hotel.

DAY 5

07:00–10:00 – Breakfast.

12:00 – Departure.

For groups staying additional days, the programme continues with beach time, excursions and dinner before departure the following day.

Stay & prices

Accommodation packages

Accommodation is provided at the 3-star Tourist Resort Duga Uvala in Istria, Croatia, in standard triple and quadruple rooms. The package is available at €169 per person for 3 nights or €216 per person for 4 nights, on a Half Board basis with breakfast and dinner. Dinner is served as an open buffet and includes non-alcoholic drinks and local beer. One complimentary group leader is provided for every 25 persons. Tourist tax and insurance are charged additionally at €1.70 per person per day. Extra nights are available at €56 per person per night on an HB basis. Double-room supplement is €11 per person per day and single-room supplement is €30 per person per day.

Booking & Payment Terms

Participation is open to folklore groups, vocal groups, orchestras, majorette teams, modern dance groups, art schools, choirs and music bands.

Groups should prepare a 12–15 minute programme.

Each group may include up to 60 persons, including musicians, dancers, leaders and family members.

A maximum of 3 groups per country may participate.

Groups should provide a short CV and photos.

Each group must organize its own arrival and departure transportation.

A 10% guarantee fee is paid in advance and deducted from the final payment.

Tourist tax and insurance of €1.70 per person per day are additional.

Personal and health insurance responsibilities remain with the participating group.

Participation

PARTICIPATION

  • Folklore groups, vocal groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, art schools, choirs and music bands may participate

  • USB or live orchestra allowed

  • Each group should bring its national flag

  • Maximum 60 persons per group

  • Maximum 3 groups per country

  • Groups should send a short CV and photos

  • Groups must organize their own arrival and departure transport

  • For groups arriving by plane, transfers can be arranged at additional cost

Excursions

  • Pula City Sightseeing – OPTIONAL

  • Rovinj City Sightseeing – OPTIONAL

  • Boat Trip with Lunch – OPTIONAL

All excursions are available for an additional fee.
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE

For groups arriving by plane:

The festival team can arrange airport transfers from Zagreb Airport or Rijeka Airport, local transportation during the festival and return transfer to the airport. Transportation costs are paid by the participating group and are confirmed separately according to group size.
