The festival

The III Majorettes & Orchestra Festival “Paralia March & Melody Festival” 2027 takes place in Paralia, Katerini, Greece. It brings together majorette teams, orchestras and music groups from different countries for a non-competitive celebration of music, dance and cultural exchange.

Public performances create a lively atmosphere for participants and visitors, bringing music and dance closer to the local audience.

Participants will stay in hotels and apartments in Paralia, including properties such as Yakhintos, Katerina, Xenia Zeus, Ifigenia, Despina, London and Phenix.

Two double rooms are provided for drivers and group leaders.

Groups should confirm participation by submitting the required information and application materials. Accommodation and room availability are subject to confirmation.

Half-board rates

  • 3 nights / 4 days: €144 per person.
  • 4 nights / 5 days: €164 per person.
  • 5 nights / 6 days: €199 per person.
  • Extra night with half board: €40 per person.

Room supplements

  • Double room: €12 per person per day.
  • Single room: €40 per person per day.

Getting around

Local buses link Katerini and Paralia. Coastal walking and cycling routes connect nearby resort areas.

Practical notes

Road access is via E75 and Katerini/Korinos. The small harbour is not evidence of a scheduled passenger ferry.

Participation

The festival is open to children, youth and adult majorette teams and orchestras.

  • A maximum of 3 groups per country may participate.
  • Each group may have a maximum of 85 members.
  • Groups should submit a short CV and group photos.
  • Each group should bring its national flag.

Personal responsibility and health insurance

Personal responsibility and health insurance are mandatory for all participants.

Performance & Stage

  • Performances will mainly take place in the evening.
  • Groups may perform in public squares and streets in Paralia and Olympic Beach.
  • The organizers provide the stage and coordinate the official performance schedule.
  • The final official programme will be provided approximately one month before arrival.

Excursions

Optional excursions may include:

  • Meteora.
  • Thessaloniki.
  • Mount Olympus.
  • Pozar Thermal Baths and Edessa Waterfalls.
  • Pirate Cruise.
  • Skiathos Island.

The Pirate Cruise is listed at €20 per person in the preliminary programme.
