The festival

  1. The XVII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL-COMPETITION “GOLD STAR” 2027 takes place in Batumi, Georgia.

Awards

The jury awards the Grand Prix, First Degree Laureate, Second Degree Laureate, Third Degree Laureate and Special Awards.

All participants receive commemorative diplomas and medals. Groups and individual performers receive festival diplomas, medals and trophies.

  • Competition fee — Main Nomination: large groups (25+ participants), €20 per person; medium groups (10–25), €25 per person; small groups (6–10), €30 per person; quartets / quintets, €35 per person; duets / trios, €40 per person; soloists, €50 per person.
  • Additional Nomination fees: large groups (25+ participants), €5 per person; medium groups (10–25), €7 per person; small groups (6–10), €10 per person; quartets / quintets, €12 per person; duets / trios, €15 per person; soloists, €20 per person.
  • Hotel–concert venue–hotel transfers, available on request.
  • Airport–hotel–airport transfers, available on request.
  • Railway station and bus station transfers, available on request.
  • Excursions: optional and at extra cost.
  • Airfare.
  • Other transportation expenses.
  • Personal expenses.

Accommodation is at a hotel in Gonio, approximately 15 km from Batumi. Standard accommodation is in triple, quadruple or five-person rooms.

Extra Days with Three Meals

  • Triple / quadruple room: €35 per person per day.

  • Double room: €40 per person per day.

  • Single room: €50 per person per day.

Early Check-in

  • 06:00–12:00: +50% of the daily room rate.

  • 00:00–06:00: +100% of the daily room rate.

Late Check-out

  • 12:00–18:00: +50% of the daily room rate.

  • 18:00–00:00: +100% of the daily room rate.

Nomination Rule

When entering more than one nomination, the nomination with the smaller number of participants is considered the Main Nomination. The nomination with the larger number of participants is considered the Additional Nomination.

Visa & Invitations

An official invitation is included in the package.

Health Insurance

Medical insurance is not included.

Performance & Stage

  • Groups of 10+ participants: up to 2 performances, each up to 5–6 minutes.
  • Small groups of 6–10 participants: 1 performance, up to 3–4 minutes.
  • Quintets, quartets, trios, duets and soloists: 1 performance, up to 3–4 minutes.
  • Backing tracks must be sent in advance and also brought on USB.

Excursions

A wide selection of excursions around Batumi, Adjara and other destinations in Georgia is available upon request.
