Overview

The festival

The festival brings together music and dance with a parade, an opening festival night and a closing celebration with diplomas and gifts. The schedule also offers beach time, optional sightseeing and a hotel party.

Accommodation is approximately 800 m from Skiathos city center.

Travel & Logistics

Groups arrange their own transport. Arrival options include flying directly to Skiathos Airport or taking a ferry from Volos. WOFA can assist with discounted ferry arrangements and group ferry transportation. Assistance from Thessaloniki Airport can also be arranged at the group's expense.

Participation

Eligible groups

  • Folk ensembles
  • Choral groups
  • Ballroom dance teams
  • Art schools
  • Music theatre groups
  • Modern dance teams
  • Orchestras
  • Majorette teams
  • Vocal and instrumental groups

Children, youth and adult groups are welcome.

Group conditions

  • A maximum of 3 groups per country may participate.
  • Each group must have at least 50 members, including dancers, managers and musicians.
  • Each group should bring its national flag.

Performance & Stage

  • Prepare at least 2 performances.
  • Each performance should last 10–15 minutes, or 15–20 minutes for vocal groups.
  • Use a live orchestra or USB accompaniment.

Excursions

Optional activities include:

  • Boat or bus tours to nearby islands
  • Visits to beaches, monasteries, museums and churches
  • Greek Night
  • Diving
  • Dolphin, turtle and other marine-life experiences
