The festival

XII International Music & Dance Festival “DURRES SUNRISE” takes place in Durrës, Albania, from 7–10 October 2027. The festival welcomes folklore groups, choirs, majorette teams, vocal ensembles, ballroom dance teams, art schools and other performing arts groups from different countries.

The event is non-competitive and combines stage performances, cultural exchange, sightseeing and seaside activities on Albania’s Adriatic coast.

DAY-BY-DAY PROGRAM

Day 1 – 7 October 2027 | Arrival in Durrës
Arrival of participating groups in Durrës, hotel accommodation and free time.
Dinner at the hotel and welcome meeting with group leaders.

Day 2 – 8 October 2027 | Durrës Sightseeing & Festival Opening
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sightseeing in Durrës and free time.
Dinner at the hotel.
In the evening, festival parade and opening performance with participating groups.

Day 3 – 9 October 2027 | Beach / Krujë & Evening Performance
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free time at the beach or optional excursion to Krujë.
Dinner at the hotel.
Evening performance at Hotel Bonita with participating groups.

Day 4 – 10 October 2027 | Free Day & Party
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free time for beach, hotel facilities or optional activities.
Dinner at the hotel.
In the evening, disco / party with participants.

GENERAL PARTICIPATION RULES

  • Maximum 3 groups per country

  • Maximum 70 participants per group

  • Folk groups should prepare at least 2 dances

  • Each dance/performance block should be approximately 10–15 minutes

  • Choirs should prepare approximately 15 minutes of program

  • Groups arrange their own arrival and departure transportation

FESTIVAL PACKAGES

  • €147 per person — 3 nights, 2 buffet meals per day

  • €187 per person — 4 nights, 2 buffet meals per day

  • Accommodation at Hotel Bonita 5★

FREE PLACES

  • 24+1 — one free place for every 24 paying participants

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is provided at Hotel Bonita 5★ in Durrës.
