The festival

The XII International Choir Festival “VOICES OF PARALIA” takes place in Paralia, Greece, from 20–24 August 2027.

This non-competitive festival promotes choral music from different countries and creates opportunities for participants to build friendships through music.

Program

Day by day

Friday 20 August

Arrival in Paralia

  1. 20 August 2027: Arrival in Paralia, hotel accommodation and free beach time.

  2. Dinner at the hotel.

  3. Welcome reception with group leaders and Aloha Beach Party.

Price includes

  • Accommodation for the booked package duration.
  • Half Board: breakfast and dinner.
  • Festival organization.
  • Souvenir and gift for each group.

  • First aid and medical services available.

Not included

  • Arrival and departure transport, which groups arrange themselves.
  • Double-room supplement: EUR 12 per person/day.
  • Single-room supplement: EUR 40 per person/day.
  • Additional night with Half Board: EUR 45 per person/day.
  • Tourist tax: EUR 2 per person/day, paid separately.

Accommodation is provided in selected partner hotels and apartments in Paralia, mainly in triple and quadruple rooms. Double and single rooms are also available.

Possible properties include Rainbow Resort, Pasion, Kronos, Xenia Zeus, Ifigenia, Despina and Bambus, or similar partner properties. Final allocation is subject to availability and may vary according to group size and room configuration.

Booking & Payment Terms

Free Places

One free place for every 24 paying participants: 24+1, 48+2.

Payment

A 10% guarantee fee is paid in advance and deducted from the final payment. After acceptance, the deposit must be paid within 10 days to secure participation.

Participation

Who Can Participate

  • Children’s choirs
  • Youth choirs
  • Adult choirs
  • Singing formations
  • Orchestras

Age Categories

  • Children’s choirs: at least two-thirds of participants must be 16 or younger.
  • Youth choirs: at least two-thirds must be 27 or younger.
  • Adult choirs: at least one-third must be older than 27.

Application & Participation

  • Choir and conductor photos plus a recent audio recording are required.
  • Each group should bring its national flag.

Health Insurance

Personal responsibility and health insurance remain the responsibility of each group.

Performance & Stage

  • Maximum 70 participants per group.
  • Each choir must participate in at least two of the three sections: Open-Air Performance (12–15 minutes), Spiritual Music (8–14 minutes), and Pop or Folk Music (8–14 minutes).
  • At least two performances should be prepared.
  • Performances may be with or without instruments.
  • The organizer provides the performance stage.

Excursions

Optional activities and sightseeing opportunities also include Mount Olympus, Pozar & Edessa Waterfalls, a Pirate Cruise and Skiathos Island. Further excursion choices and beach time are listed in the daily program.
