Overview

The festival

The X Ortaça–Dalyan International Festival of Dance, Music & Competition 2027 takes place in Dalyan, Türkiye, from 09 to 13 September 2027, bringing together international dance and music groups for performances and competition in one of the country's most attractive southwest destinations.

Dalyan lies along the Dalyan River, surrounded by important natural and historical landmarks. Across the river is the ancient city of Kaunos, known for its Lycian rock tombs and ancient theatre. Nearby attractions include İztuzu Beach, famous for its protected loggerhead turtle nesting grounds, Lake Köyceğiz and the thermal mud baths of Sultaniye.

  • Airport transfers cost EUR 35 per person round trip and are available only from Dalaman Airport.
  • The organization does not pay participation or appearance fees to attending groups.

Accommodation is in rooms for 2 or 3 people. Meals are buffet-style; depending on the performance schedule, participants may receive either a regular meal or a packed meal.

There are no free participants, regardless of group size.

Participation

  • Participants must be aged 10 or above.
  • Each group must have at least 5 participants.
  • Eligible categories: folk dance, modern dance, classical dance, country dance, folk music, chorus, classical music, instrumental music, brass bands, country music, street theatre, rhythm groups, mime groups, acrobatic groups, majorette groups, flag groups and vocal groups.
  • Group photographs must be submitted with the application.

Performance & Stage

  • Performances may last 5, 10 or 15 minutes.
  • Music may be performed live or supplied on CD or USB.

Excursions

  • Marmaris Sun, Swim & Splash Boat Adventure: All-inclusive boat tour visiting Aquarium Bay, Paradise Island, Phosphorous Cave, Amos Beach, Turunç and Green Bay.
  • Full-Day Guided Dalyan Tour: Boat trip departing from İçmeler and Marmaris with highlights of the Dalyan region.
  • Atlantis Water Park – Marmaris & İçmeler: Water park with numerous slides, a private beach area and playgrounds.
  • Glass-Bottom Semi-Submarine Tour: Underwater sightseeing through glass windows, with four swimming stops.
  • Cleopatra Island Boat Tour: Full-day boat trip with swimming breaks, BBQ lunch, drinks and time at Cleopatra Island's white-sand beach and ruins.
  • Turkish Bath Experience: Two-hour traditional Turkish bath with full-body scrub and soap massage.
  • Marmaris Buggy Safari: Guided buggy adventure across rugged terrain and streams.
  • Dalyan River Cruise: Boat tour featuring the rock tombs, mud baths, Iztuzu Beach, lunch and swimming.

  • Marmaris & İçmeler Go-Karting: Family-friendly go-kart racing; no driver's license required.
  • Marmaris Turkish Night Show: Evening experience with a Turkish dinner, unlimited drinks, belly dancers and whirling dervishes.
  • Marmaris & İçmeler Jeep Safari: Mountain safari with water fights, color and foam party, Turgut Waterfalls and İsa Beach.
  • Dalyan Turtle Beach Tour: Guided boat trip along the Dalyan Canal to Delik Island and Iztuzu Beach.
  • Pamukkale Day Tour: Full-day excursion to the famous white thermal terraces of Pamukkale.
  • Hidden Treasures of the Marmaris Peninsula: Private tour of the villages of the Bozburun Peninsula, including pide tasting and lunch.
  • White Water Rafting: Guided rafting experience on the Dalaman River.
  • Marmaris Bar Street: Visit popular nightlife venues including Backstreet Marmaris, Greenhouse Dance Club, Babylon Club, Crazy Daisy, Joy Club and Club Arena.

Excursion groups must have at least 10 participants. Prices and final arrangements are confirmed 30 days before the festival. Payment is made directly to the tour operator after arrival at the hotel.
