The festival

The VIII International Music & Dance Festival “Budva Festival of Traditions” 2027 takes place in Budva, Montenegro. International performances, sightseeing and beach time create a welcoming summer festival atmosphere.

Day by day

Thursday 26 August

Arrival & Welcome Reception

  1. 26 August: Arrival in Budva, hotel check-in and free time for swimming and relaxation.

  2. Dinner at the hotel.

  3. Welcome reception with group leaders.

Accommodation packages

Price includes

  • Hotel accommodation with Half Board.
  • 1 complimentary place for every 30 paying dancers.
  • Souvenir and gift for each group.
  • Certificates of attendance.
  • Refreshments during performances.
  • Festival promotion through press releases, social media, posters and flyers.

Not included

  • Tourist tax and insurance: €1.50 per person per day, charged additionally.
  • Extended stays: €40 per person per day.
  • Additional double rooms: €10 per person per night.
  • Bus parking is paid separately.
  • Transfers from Tivat Airport or Podgorica Airport to Budva can be arranged for an additional fee.

Accommodation is provided in selected hotels in Budva. Half Board means two meals per day.

Participation

Who Can Apply

  • Folk ensembles, modern dance groups, choral groups, orchestras, brass bands and majorette teams.
  • Children, youth and adult participants are welcome.

Application Materials

  • Short CV.
  • 3 photos.
  • Video performance link.
  • A national flag is required.

Travel Arrangements

Groups organize their own arrival and departure transport.

Performance & Stage

  • Maximum 100 participants per group, including dancers, musicians and managers.
  • Each group should prepare 2 dances or performances of 10–15 minutes each.
  • USB playback or a live orchestra is allowed.
  • Due to the exclusive festival location in Budva Old Town, a stage is not allowed.
