The V International “Budapest Choir Fest” takes place from 26 to 29 November 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

Stay & prices

Accommodation packages

Price includes

  • Festival participation.
  • Organization expenses.
  • Diplomas.
  • Souvenirs.
  • An English-speaking guide for participating groups.
  • Every 26th person participates free of charge: 25 paying participants + 1 free place. Bus drivers count towards the total number of participants.

Not included

  • Transportation and local transfers. Upon request, the organizers can assist with arranging bus transportation or local transfers at the group’s expense.
  • Insurance.
  • Optional excursions.
  • Hospitality expenses outside the booked board arrangement.
  • Other expenses not mentioned in the programme.
  • Costs of damages caused by participants, payable by the group.
  • Bank charges, payable by the participating group.

Accommodation is provided in selected 3-star or 4-star hotels in Budapest on a BB – Bed & Breakfast basis. Both categories offer double and triple rooms, with single rooms available at a supplement.

Booking & Payment Terms

Package Prices & Supplements

  • 3-star package: €139 per person for 3 nights. Up to 5 double rooms are available without surcharge; additional double rooms cost €6 per room per day. Single-room supplement: €30 per room per day.
  • 4-star package: €149 per person for 3 nights. Single-room supplement: €35 per room per day.
  • Additional nights are available upon request, with the price to be confirmed.

Booking & Payment

  • Approved groups must pay a 10% advance guarantee fee, deducted from the final payment.
  • After approval, a further advance reservation payment of €30 per person is required, also deducted from the final amount.
  • The remaining participation fee may be paid in cash upon arrival.
  • If a group cancels less than 5 days before the festival, reservation expenses are not refunded.

Participation

Eligibility & Repertoire

  • Mixed, female and male choirs may apply.
  • Participants must be at least 16 years old.
  • The organizer may limit the total number of participating choirs.
  • Repertoire may include sacred and secular works by contemporary and classical composers.
  • Each choir must include at least one composition from its country of origin.

Applications

The application deadline is 1 October 2026.

  • Submit the official Application Form.
  • Provide a choir CV, conductor CV, photos and a performance video or link.

Visa & Invitations

An official invitation letter is included in the package.

Health Insurance

All participants must have international health insurance.

Conduct

Group leaders are responsible for participant behaviour and compliance with hotel and festival rules.

Performance & Stage

  • Performance programme: up to 30 minutes.
  • Each choir will give 1 or 2 performances, depending on the total number of choirs.
  • All choirs will perform the Festival Hymn together at the final concert.
  • There is no limit on the number of singers.

Excursions

Optional excursions will be available upon arrival. Destinations and prices have not been specified.
