The festival

The III International Choral Festival “Saranda Choral Waves” takes place from 28 May to 1 June 2027 in Saranda and Ksamil, Albania.

The festival promotes cultural traditions through public performances.

Program

Day by day

Friday 28 May

Arrival & Welcome Meeting

  1. Arrival and hotel accommodation.

  2. Dinner.

  3. Meeting with festival representatives.

Accommodation packages

Price includes

  • Accommodation according to the selected Half Board (HB) or Bed & Breakfast (BB) package.
  • HB packages include two meals per day, served as an open buffet.
  • BB packages include breakfast.
  • One complimentary place for every 25 participants (24 paying + 1 free).

Not included

  • Transportation to and from Saranda: groups are responsible for their own travel.

  • Tourist tax: EUR 3 per person per day, charged additionally.

  • Lunch on the optional Corfu excursion: an additional EUR 20–25.

Accommodation is at the 4-star Andon Lapa Hotel Resort & Spa, directly by the sea and approximately 500 metres from Saranda city centre.

Participation

Who Can Apply

  • Children’s, youth and adult choirs, singing formations and vocal groups from different countries.
  • Maximum group size: 50 members.

Application Materials

  • Application form.
  • Choir photo.
  • Conductor photo.
  • Recent audio recording.
  • Short CV.
  • Country flag.

Rights & Recordings

By applying, choirs agree to respect authors’ rights and allow the festival to use recorded material.

Performance & Stage

  • Every choir must participate in at least two festival sections.
  • Each choir prepares two performances of 8–14 minutes each.
  • Section One – Performances: a 15–20-minute open-air programme.
  • Section Two – Pop Music: 8–12 minutes.
  • Section Three – Folk Music: 8–12 minutes.

Excursions

Optional Excursions & Activities

  • Corfu Island: return ferry Saranda–Corfu–Saranda, bus and guide.
  • Gjirokastër & Blue Eye: bus, guide, castle entrance, Museum of Weapons, Blue Eye entrance and park shuttle.
  • Gjirokastër & Blue Eye with Lunch: the same programme, plus lunch.
  • Butrint Archaeological Park & Ksamil: bus, guide and Butrint entrance.
  • Albanian Evening: transfer, traditional dinner, a drink and a folkloric performance.

Trio Package

EUR 137: Corfu, Gjirokastër & Blue Eye without lunch, and Albanian Evening. The separate total is EUR 147.
