The festival

The II International Modern Dance Festival “PARALIA RHYTM WAVES” 2027 takes place in Paralia, Greece, from 2–6 July 2027.

This non-competitive event focuses on artistic presentation, friendship between participants and opportunities to perform in front of an international audience.

Arrival in Paralia

  1. 2 July 2027: Arrival and hotel accommodation.

  2. Dinner at the hotel.

  3. Welcome reception with group leaders.

Getting around

Local buses link Katerini and Paralia. Coastal walking and cycling routes connect nearby resort areas.

Practical notes

Road access is via E75 and Katerini/Korinos. The small harbour is not evidence of a scheduled passenger ferry.

Participation

Who Can Participate

  • Modern dance groups.
  • Dance schools.
  • Performing arts groups.
  • Youth and adult dance teams.
  • Other related dance formations.

Participation Conditions

  • Maximum 3 groups per country.
  • Maximum 50 persons per group.
  • Groups should provide a short CV and group photos.
  • Each group should bring its national flag.
  • Groups organize their own arrival and departure transport.

Performance & Stage

  • Each group should prepare at least 2 dances.
  • Total performance program: approximately 15–20 minutes.
  • Performances may use recorded music.
  • The organizer provides the stage for the performances.

1. Meteora

Discover one of Greece’s most impressive natural and religious landmarks, featuring magnificent rock formations and centuries-old monasteries.

2. Thessaloniki

Explore the cultural heart of Northern Greece, with free time for sightseeing, shopping, visiting historical landmarks, and enjoying the city center.

3. Mount Olympus

Visit the legendary home of the ancient Greek gods. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views, beautiful nature, peaceful monasteries, and light walking.

4. Pozar Baths & Edessa Waterfalls

Relax in natural thermal baths surrounded by beautiful scenery, followed by a visit to the spectacular waterfalls of Edessa.

Enjoy an unforgettable cruise along the Aegean coast with swimming, sunbathing, music, beautiful sea views, and food included.

Discover the charming island of Skiathos and relax on the famous Koukounaries Beach, known for its golden sand and crystal-clear waters.
