The festival

The II INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL “ISTRA CHOIR FEST” takes place from 3 to 8 July 2027 in Pula, Croatia.
The festival aims to present cultural traditions, encourage international friendships and give participating groups the opportunity to share their music and culture in one of Croatia’s most attractive coastal regions.

Accommodation packages

Price includes

  • One complimentary place for every 25 participants.
  • Certificate of attendance.
  • Souvenir and gift for each group.
  • Drinks during performances.
  • Free hotel parking.
  • Access to indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
  • Private beach access.
  • Festival promotion through press releases, social media, posters and flyers.

Not included

  • Transportation costs are paid separately. Airport transfer assistance can be arranged by the festival committee for groups arriving by plane, including transfers from Trieste to Pula; fees depend on group size and arrival point.

  • Tourist tax and insurance: EUR 1.60 per person per day.

  • All medical expenses must be covered by the group.

  • Bus transfer to Rabac for the Fish Picnic is not included.

  • Entrance tickets and bus transport for Pula Sightseeing are additional.

  • Bus transfer to Fažana for the Brijuni National Park excursion is not included.

Accommodation is provided at the 3-star Tourist Resort Duga Uvala in triple and quadruple rooms, according to the selected package. The meal plan is HB – Half Board, with two meals per day.

Rules, excursions & practical details

Participation

  • Open to all types of choirs, singing groups and vocal groups from different countries.
  • Maximum 60 participants per group, including musicians, leaders and family members.
  • Maximum 3 groups per country.
  • Each group should bring its national flag.
  • Groups should submit a short CV and group photos.
  • Groups are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the festival.

Health Insurance & Responsibility

Personal responsibility and health insurance are the responsibility of each participating group. Medical services are available.

Performance & Stage

  • Each group should prepare a 12–15 minute programme.

Excursions

Optional Excursions

  • Fish Picnic – Cres Island: Full-day boat excursion from Rabac, approximately 10:00–17:00. Includes a boat ride, grilled fish lunch with alternatives available, drinks, beach time and sightseeing in Cres.
  • Panorama Boat Trip: Approximately 2-hour scenic boat ride along the Istrian Riviera and Kvarner Bay, with views of Cres, Lošinj and hidden bays.
  • Labin by Night: Guided visit to the medieval town of Labin, including local history, architecture and optional olive oil, wine and grappa tasting. Minimum 15 participants.
  • Pula Sightseeing: Guided city tour including the Roman Arena and other Roman and Austro-Hungarian landmarks.
  • Rakalj Village: Visit a traditional Istrian village with panoramic viewpoints and optional traditional food tasting.
  • Gems of Istria: Tailor-made excursion to destinations such as Rovinj, Poreč, Motovun and Svetvinčenat.
  • Brijuni National Park: Visit the national park with nature, archaeological sites and an open-air zoo. Boat transfer from Fažana is included.
  • Venice Boat Trip.
  • Plitvice Lakes.
