Participation Information


With pleasure, we INVITE you (folk groups, choral groups, orchestras, and majorette teams), especially children’s and youth groups, to participate in the XXX International Festival for Dance & Songs “LAKE FEST,” which will take place from June 4 to 8, 2025, in Ohrid.

The festival’s light motive is to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provide an opportunity for members of groups to come together, establish friendships, and showcase their culture through dance and music.

General Rules:


This is a non-competitive festival featuring traditional and modern dances, choral performances, and majorette teams.
Folklore, choral groups, and majorette teams are welcome to participate. Children’s ensembles, youth ensembles, and adult ensembles may also join. Groups from other art styles are encouraged to apply.
The number of participants is limited (only three groups from each country).
Each group should consist of a maximum of 70 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.
Groups must prepare at least two dances, 10-15 minutes each, with orchestra or UasB. Performances will be held in the evening hours, allowing for daytime sightseeing.
Groups should send a short CV and 2-3 photos.
Each group should bring a flag of their country.
Groups are responsible for their own transport for arrival and departure.

On your request, you can continue your stay in Ohrid. Price will be 29 Euro per day per person HB and 33 for FB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide. Tourist tax and insurance is 1 euro per person and it is paid additional.

13:00: Arrival in Ohrid, hotel accommodation

20:00: Meeting with group leaders

Day 2:
09:00 – 11:00: Breakfast
11:00 – 14:00: Ohrid sightseeing
18:00 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel
19:15: Ensembles parade in the old town
19:30: Festival evening

Day 3:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
11:00 – 14:30: Boat cruise and visit to St. Naum Monastery
16:00 – 18:00: Shopping
18:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel
21:00 – 00:00: Social events, exchange presents, disco party

Day 4:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
10:30 – 14:00: Visit to Struga City
19:00 – 20:00: Dinner at the hotel
21:00 – 00:00: Macedonian evening or workshop learning different dances

Day 5:
09:00: Breakfast
10:00 – 14:00: Departure to Skopje with guides, visiting monuments
14:00: Departure from Skopje

Excursions Information



Participants will have the opportunity to explore Ohrid’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking scenery:

Day 2:
Sightseeing includes St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, and the Bridge of Wishes.

Day 3:
A boat cruise on Ohrid Lake, visiting the Museum on Water and the famous St. Naum Monastery (price: 14 euros per person).

Day 4:
Visit to Struga City, including the house of Miladinovci Brothers, the Crni Drim River, and Kalishta Caves Church.

Participants will also have shopping time in the city and social events such as a disco party and cultural workshops.
