Participation Information

We cordially INVITE children’s, youth, and adult folklore groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, majorette teams, and instrumental groups to participate in the XXX International Festival of Dance and Songs “OHRID SUMMER FEST,” taking place from July 18 to 22, 2025. The festival’s main motive is to showcase the cultural traditions of various countries and regions while fostering friendships and cultural exchange through dance and music.
Eligibility: The festival is non-competitive, and every group is welcome to participate. The festival is open to children’s, youth, and adult folklore groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, majorette teams, and instrumental groups, with no age restrictions for participants.
Group Limitations: Participation is limited to three groups from each country. Each group can consist of a maximum of 60 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
Performance Requirements: Ensembles must prepare at least two dances, each lasting 10-15 minutes, accompanied by an orchestra or USB. Choral groups should have a 15-20 minute free program.
Additional Requirements: Each group must send a short CV and 2-3 photos via email, bring a flag of their country, and arrange their own transportation for arrival and departure.

Festival Organizers Provide:

One free registration for every 25 dancers.
Souvenirs and gifts for each group.
Welcome cocktail and certificates of attendance.
Drinks during performances and free bus parking.
Festival promotion via social media and newsletters.
Note: Tourist tax and insurance is 1 euro per day per person, to be paid additionally. Personal responsibility and health insurance are the group’s obligations.

Extended Stay Information:


On your request, you can continue your stay in Ohrid. The price will be 35 Euro per day per person FB and 31 Euro per day per person HB – this is a special price for festival participants that we can provide. For additional days, we will prepare a special program for you.

Program Information



Day 1: Arrival, hotel accommodation, and free activities (swimming in Ohrid Lake), followed by dinner and a welcome reception.

Day 2:
Breakfast, followed by sightseeing in Ohrid.
Dinner in the hotel, followed by an ensembles parade in the old town and the official opening of the festival.

Day 3:
Breakfast, followed by visiting local attractions.
Dinner, followed by a dance workshop and socialization.

Day 4:
Breakfast and free activities, followed by a boat cruise.
Dinner and a party with all participants.

Day 5:
Breakfast and departure of participants.

Optional Additional Days:
Visit Struga and other sites, with a festival evening in Struga city available as an option.

Excursions Information



During the festival, various excursions are available for participants to explore Ohrid’s rich culture and history:
Day 2:
Sightseeing includes visits to St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, Bridge of Wishes, and an exhibition of Old Ohrid with a rakia and wine tasting.

Day 3:
Explore Stara Carsia, visit the oldest tree, Biljanini Springs, Ohrid pearl, and an old paper manufactory.

Day 4:
Enjoy a boat cruise on Ohrid Lake, visiting the renowned tourist site St. Naum, with opportunities for swimming at one of the best sandy beaches.

Optional Days:
Group options for visiting Struga, Pogradec in Albania, or Vevcani (ethno village).
