Participation Information



Eligibility: Open to children’s, youth, and adult groups in folk, modern dance, vocal, majorette, and instrumental categories.

Participation Limit: Limited to three groups per country.

Group Composition: Each group may consist of up to 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.

Performance Requirements: Each ensemble should prepare at least two dances (10–15 minutes each) with live music or CD. Vocal groups may present a 15–20 minute free program. Performances will be held in the evenings to allow participants to explore the city and enjoy excursions during the day.

Application Materials: Groups must send a brief CV and 2–3 photos via email and bring a national flag for the festival.

Transportation: Each group is responsible for arranging their transport to and from Ohrid. However, transport arrangements from nearby airports can be organized upon request.

Accommodation Information



The participation fee is 79 EUR per person for a 3-night stay with two meals per day (HB). Participants will stay in hotels located either on the coast of Lake Ohrid or in the city center, with rooms arranged as double occupancy (for drivers and leaders) and triple or quadruple occupancy for others, all with private bathrooms.

Deluxe Options: Special accommodations include Montenegrin Inn(in the city center) and Hotel Vila Fortuna.

Additional Services: One free spot is provided for every 21 participants, along with festival certificates, souvenirs, refreshments during performances, free parking, and extensive media promotion.

Tourist Tax and Insurance: An additional 1 EUR per person per day covers local tourist taxes and insurance.

Extended Stay Option: Participants can extend their stay in Ohrid at a special rate of 23 EUR per day (HB). Customized programs, including performances in nearby cities, can be arranged upon request.

Day 2:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
10:00: Festival Director meeting
10:30 – 13:00: Ohrid sightseeing
18:30 – 19:30: Dinner
20:00: Ensemble parade in the old town and festival evening

Day 3:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast
11:00 – 16:00: Boat cruise to St. Naum with a stop at the Water Museum (dancing boat option)
18:30 – 19:30: Dinner
20:00: Free evening or optional Macedonian cultural night at a local restaurant

Day 4:
10:00: Breakfast
11:00: Departure

Travel and Additional Services


Groups arriving by plane can arrange transport through the festival. Transfers from Ohrid Airport are free, while pickups from Skopje, Tirana, or Thessaloniki Airports (all 200 km from Ohrid) can be organized at an additional cost. Assistance with visa arrangements for Macedonia is also available.

Excursions Information



Ohrid is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its scenic lake and rich historical and cultural landmarks. Excursions during the festival will offer participants a glimpse into the city’s heritage and natural beauty:

Day 2: Morning sightseeing tour of Ohrid, including St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, and the Bridge of Wishes.

Day 3: A lake cruise to St. Naum, a cultural site and popular tourist destination. Participants can enjoy the lake’s warm 25°C water, suitable for swimming and water sports. This excursion costs 13 EUR per person.
