Participation Information

Eligibility: All choirs, singing formations, and orchestras are welcome to participate.

Children’s Choirs: At least 2/3 of participants must be 16 or younger.
Youth Choirs: At least 2/3 of participants must be 27 or younger.
Adult Choirs: At least 1/3 of participants must be older than 27.

Application Requirements

Submit an application form, including a photograph of the choir and conductor, along with a recent audio recording.
Audio recordings can be sent via email or posted on your website.

Festival Format

The festival consists of competitive and non-competitive segments.

Choirs may choose to participate in the competition or simply attend the festival without contesting.
The competition will be judged by a jury, with the grand prize being the statue “OHRID PEARL.”

Performance Sections

Section One: Open-air performances (15-20 minute program).
Section Two: Pop music arrangements (8-12 minutes).
Section Three: Folk music arrangements (8-12 minutes).

All choirs are required to perform in at least two sections.

Extended Stay Information:

On your request, You can continue your stay in Ohrid. For additional days we will arrange a special program. In a 3*** hotel HB, the special discount price will be 30 euro per day.

Day 1:
12:00 – 14:00: Arriving in Ohrid, hotel accommodation.
18:30 – 20:00: Dinner in hotel.
21:00: Meeting with the festival director.

Day 2:
08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
10:30 – 14:00: Ohrid sightseeing.
19:00 – 20:00: Dinner in hotel.
21:00: Official opening of the festival.

Day 3:
08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
12:00 – 14:00: Singing in the church.
14:00: Competition part in the Center of Culture G. Prlicev.
20:00 – 21:00: Dinner in hotel.
21:00: Singing in the city.

Day 4:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
11:00 – 15:30: Boat cruise and swimming at St. Naum.
19:00 – 21:00: Dinner in hotel.
21:00 – 00:00: Free time or party.

Day 5:
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
12:00: Departure of participants.

Optional Extensions:
Additional days can include excursions to Struga, free activities, and a guided tour of Skopje.

Excursion Information

During the festival, participants will have the opportunity to explore Ohrid and Struga, both renowned for their cultural and tourist attractions. Suggested activities include:

Sightseeing: Visit significant cultural monuments such as Samoil Fortress, the Ancient Theatre, St. Kaneo Church, and various museums.
Cruise on Ohrid Lake: A boat cruise to the Museum on Water and St. Naum, known for its breathtaking scenery.
Additional Visits: Optional day trips to Struga and Vevcani, an ethno village.
