Participation Info
Eligibility and Festival Focus:
The V Budapest International Choir Fest is a non-competitive event dedicated to mixed, female, and male choirs with participants aged 16 and above. There is no cap on the number of singers per choir; however, the organizers reserve the right to limit participation if necessary due to high demand.
Performance Requirements:
Participating choirs should prepare a program lasting up to 30 minutes and are encouraged to include one piece from their country of origin. The repertoire may consist of secular or sacred works by contemporary or historical composers. Each choir will perform 1-2 times, with performance duration dependent on the total number of participants.
Final Concert:
All participating choirs will unite to perform a “Festival Hymn” chosen by the organizers at the closing concert.

To apply, choirs must submit the following:
Choir’s CV
Choir Conductor’s CV
Up-to-date photos of the choir
Video or link showcasing their performances
Participation Fee:
125 EUR per person – Accommodation in 3* Hotels (3 nights with bed and breakfast; rooms: double/triple. Single room supplement: 25 EUR/day)
135 EUR per person – Accommodation in 4* Hotels (3 nights with bed and breakfast; rooms: double. Single room supplement: 30 EUR/day)
Group Offer: Every 26th participant is free of charge (25 paying members + 1 free)
Bus Drivers: Included in the total participant count
Payment Conditions:
10% Guarantee Fee: Deducted from the final payment upon approval of application
Reservation Fee: 30 EUR per person, deducted from the final payment
Groups cover all bank fees. Remaining fees can be paid in cash upon arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 5 days before the start of the festival will not receive a refund of reservation expenses.
Important Notes:
All participants must have international health insurance. Group leaders are responsible for their group’s conduct, hotel policy adherence, and any damages incurred during the festival.
By applying, participants agree to festival conditions, including allowing the organizer rights to video and photograph participants, as well as potential program changes with prior notification.
