The festival welcomes folklore groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, choirs, and music bands from around the globe.
This is a non-competitive festival showcasing traditional and modern dances, choral performances, majorette teams, and orchestras.
Each ensemble should prepare at least two dances, 8-12 minutes each, and provide a USB or orchestral accompaniment.
Folklore groups must bring a flag representing their country and a minimum of four gifts for the municipality visits and festival organizers.
All participating groups must submit a completed application form. Submitting the signed application indicates acceptance of the festival regulations.
Participation is limited to three groups from each country.
Groups are required to send a short CV and a minimum of six photos via email.
By July 1, each group must provide a list of participants, including name, surname, sex, date of birth, and passport number.
Groups are responsible for their own transport for arrival and departure.
Various accommodation options are available:
Student Dormitories:
– €105 for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day)
– €129 for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day)
– Accommodation includes leaders and drivers in double rooms, and others in triple or quadruple rooms, all with private bathrooms.
Basic Hotels:
– €119 for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day)
– €149 for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day)
– Leaders and drivers in double rooms, and others in triple or quadruple rooms.
Advanced Hotels:
– €129 for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day)
– €169 for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day)
– Leaders and drivers in double rooms, and others in triple or quadruple rooms.
Additional days can be booked at €30-45 per person per day.
For groups of 25 persons, one group leader can participate free of charge.
August 16
– 14:00: Arrival in Çanakkale, hotel accommodation, and meeting with festival representatives; free time.
– 18:00 – 20:00: Dinner in the hotel.
– 21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders.
August 17
– 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
– 10:00 – 14:00: Tour of Troy or free time for individual activities.
– 16:00 – 18:00: Official opening of the festival with an “Ensemble Parade” and a 3-minute performance by each group.
– 19:30 – 21:00: Dinner in the hotel.
August 18
– 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
– 10:00 – 18:00: Optional Gallipoli tour or free time.
– 17:30 – 18:30: Dinner in the hotel.
– 20:00: Official festival evening in the city square with welcome speeches, open-air performances, and communal singing and dancing.
August 19
– 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
– 10:30 – 12:00: Visit to the Municipality and reception with the Mayor.
– 17:00 – 19:00: Festival evening in the city center (open-air performance on a professional stage).
– 19:30 – 20:30: Dinner in the hotel.
– 21:00: Closing ceremony with certificates and presents for ensembles, gift exchanges between group leaders, and a final party with all participants.
August 20
– 07:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
– 12:00: Departure.
