Participation Information
We invite you to take part in the International Music & Folk Dance Festival “Sunny Beach”, held in the famous Bulgarian resort on the Black Sea, Sunny Beach, near the town of Nesebar. The festival offers a platform for a wide range of performers, including children, youth, veteran, and mixed folk ensembles, dance groups, majorettes, vocal groups, choirs, and orchestras.
As part of the festival, the “Chornomors’ke Beads” festival will take place in the resort town of Sveti Vlas, where your group will also perform on one festival night. The festival is a review event, featuring ensembles from various countries, including Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia.
The festival lasts three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Each group is expected to perform at least once during the festival, though performances can occur on all three days based on agreement. A mandatory appearance is required on the final night of the festival, Sunday. The festival encourages participants to prepare at least one choreography, but you may perform a different piece for each night if desired. Musical accompaniment is not mandatory, but groups can use USBs for performances.
On the final night, there will be a parade and awards for the best male and female folk costumes, as well as the titles of Miss and Mister of the Festival and the best dancing group. Participants should bring a board with the name of their group and the national flag.
