Participation Information

Festival Overview
We invite you to join the International Folklore Festival in Romania – “Folk Friends Together,” which will take place in Tarnaveni and Targu Mures from 15 to 19 August 2024. Participants will enjoy performances, cultural exchanges, and visits to iconic landmarks like Bran Castle (Dracula Castle) and Sighisoara City (house of Dracula).

Participation Conditions
Maximum group size: 50 persons (including leaders, drivers, interpreters, and others). Groups exceeding this number will not be admitted.
Commitment: Groups must commit to the full festival schedule and refrain from other engagements during the festival period.
Arrival: 15 August (Thursday) by 12:00 p.m.
Departure: 19 August (Monday) after breakfast.
Medical insurance: Mandatory for all participants and must be presented at border control.
Performances: Each ensemble will perform two shows daily (5–15 minutes per performance) on both outdoor and indoor stages. Participation in processions and promotional events is also required. Performances with limited space may necessitate smaller group setups; suitability information is requested.
Schedule adherence: Ensembles must adhere to the festival schedule and performance durations. Additional performances require prior approval.
Flag: Each ensemble must bring its national flag.
Music accompaniment: Performances can be accompanied by live or recorded music, with sound equipment provided by the festival as needed.
Broadcast rights: The festival retains the right to broadcast performances live and create audiovisual recordings for radio or television.
