With pleasure, we INVITE (folk ensembles, choral groups, orchestras, brass bands, majorette teams, vocal groups, art schools) (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the International Dance and Song Festival “COLORS OF THAILAND”, from 06-11 March 2025, in Bangkok – Phuket, Thailand.




Thailand’s culture soft power policy is an opportunity to present traditional or modern dance and music performances in a non-competitive format. Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok, is renowned for its ornate shrines, vibrant street life, and the boat-filled Chao Phraya River, which flows past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to the opulent Grand Palace and sacred Wat Phra Temple. Bangkok was the most visited city in the world in 2023.



General Rules:



  • This is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, brass bands, orchestras, modern dance groups, choral groups, majorette teams, instrumental groups, soloists, and other art styles.

  • Every group has the right to participate.

  • Number of participants is limited (only 3 groups from each country).

  • Each group should consist of a maximum of 40 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.

  • Ensembles should prepare a program of 15 minutes (live or USB).

  • Choral groups and orchestras should prepare a free program of 12 minutes.

  • Performances will be held in the evening hours, allowing free time for sightseeing and excursions during the day.

  • Groups must send a short CV (5-6 sentences in English), 3 photos of the group, and a link to a video performance.

  • Groups should bring their country flag.

  • Groups must arrange their own transportation for arrival and departure.



Insurance:



Personal responsibility and health insurance are the obligation of the groups. First aid and hospital services will be available but must be covered by the group.



Additional Information:



  • Stay in Bangkok for an additional 39 Euro HB per day in 4* hotels (triple rooms, special participant rate).

  • After the festival, organizers will provide links to photos and videos for each group.

  • Transfers from the airport can be arranged by the festival, with costs covered by the group (to be agreed upon).

Participation Fee:



  • 179 Euro per person for 5 nights with breakfast and dinner (open buffet) in 4* Bay Hotel Srinakarin (triple rooms).

  • Includes transportation from airport to hotel and festival venue (excursions are optional).

  • For every 25 participants, 1 is free (25+1).

  • Includes 5 days of breakfast and dinner.

  • Certificate and gifts for the group.

  • Parade and party.


Program:


Day 1:



  • 09:00-22:00: Pick-up from airport to Bay Hotel Srinakarin and accommodation.

  • Meeting with the festival representative.


Day 2:



  • 07:00-10:00: Breakfast.

  • 10:30: Excursions – Sightseeing in Bangkok.

  • 19:00-21:00: Dinner in the hotel.

  • 21:00: Socialization party with all participants.


Day 3:



  • 07:00-10:00: Breakfast.

  • 10:30: Excursions – Visit Coral Island, Pattaya (a wonderful beach with sandy shores).

  • 18:00-20:00: Dinner in the hotel.

  • 20:00-22:00: Festival evening – open-air performance and certificate distribution.


Day 4:



  • 07:00-10:00: Breakfast.

  • 10:30: Excursions.

  • 18:00-20:00: Dinner in the hotel.

  • 20:00: Parade in costumes (gift exchange).


Day 5:



  • 07:00-10:00: Breakfast.

  • 10:30: Excursions.

  • 18:00-20:00: Dinner in the hotel.

  • 20:00: Free time.


Day 6:



  • 07:00-10:00: Breakfast.

  • 10:30: Departure.



Optional Phuket Trip:



  • Day 6: Breakfast and domestic flight to Phuket, sightseeing, and hotel accommodation. Dinner in Phuket hotel (18:00-21:00).

  • Day 7: Breakfast (07:00-09:00) and departure from Phuket to Bangkok airport.



Note: Groups opting for Phuket must inform us in advance for cost details.

Excursions Information



Participants will enjoy a variety of sightseeing activities, including:



  • March 7: Visit Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai) in Phitsanulok.

  • March 8: Attend the Yok Nang Ceremony and participate in a parade.

  • March 9: Visit Thawee Folk Museum and perform in a shopping mall.

  • March 10: Explore Ayutthaya Province.
