Participation Information
We are delighted to invite folk and choral groups, orchestras, majorette teams, and other performance styles (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the “International Folk Dance and Music Festival – ISTANBUL FEST” from June 27 to July 1, in Istanbul, Turkey. This festival is an excellent occasion for groups from around the world to come together and share their cultures through dance, music, and captivating national costumes.
Arrival & Departure: Participants should arrive in Istanbul on June 27 with check-in starting at 14:00. Departure is scheduled for July 1, with a check-out time of 11:00 a.m.
Participation Conditions: There is no limit on the number of participants or age of performers.
Performance Requirements: Participants may use USB or live music. Each group will perform twice, with each program lasting a maximum of 15 minutes. Choir groups will also perform twice.
Venue: Performance venues will be selected by the festival committee and adjusted according to weather conditions.
Support: A guide will be provided for each group throughout the festival. The official festival language is English.
Additional Requirements: Each group should bring their country’s flag. Participants are responsible for their own travel, health, and other insurances. Groups need to provide five different pictures and one video showcasing their performances.
Airport Transfers: Airport transfers can be arranged with festival guidance but will be covered by the groups. Local transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the groups, with assistance available from the committee.
Health Regulations: Ministry of Health regulations will be observed at hotel check-ins and check-outs.
