Participation Information



We cordially invite folk groups, choral groups, orchestras, majorette teams, ballroom dance teams, art schools, music theaters, and modern dance groups (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the International Folk Dance Festival-Competition “Khazar Folk – 2024.”

Festival Goals:


Promote an active civic position among children and youth through patriotic training and creativity.
Strengthen the friendship of peoples and enhance interethnic harmony.
Popularize culture, humanism, patriotism, and the continuity of generations through comprehensive creative development.
Foster unity, preservation, and development of national cultures, and respect for historical heritage and cultural values.
Encourage collaboration between leading figures in culture and art with creative collectives.
Identify and promote the creative growth of talented youngsters and develop creativity in children, youth, and adults.
Create conditions and explore new forms for synthesizing various arts: literature, music, choreography, vocal, and fine arts.

Evaluation Criteria:


Teams will be evaluated using a 10-point system through open voting procedures.
Each jury member will provide a single overall mark for the presented program.
Medal placements will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
One Grand Prix will be awarded to the most deserving group by the jury’s decision.
Categories include ensembles, duets, and solos, with age divisions of 6-10 years, 10-15 years, and 16 and above.
Music background must be provided on a CD or flash memory stick.
Groups should bring a flag representing their country.
No limitations on age or number of participants.

Accommodation Information



Accommodation Fee:


200 Euro per person for 4 nights in a 4-star hotel (full board on buffet).
Each 26th participant in a group is free of charge (25+1).

Inclusions:


4-night accommodation in a 4-star hotel with three meals a day (open buffet).
Transfers from Airport to Hotel and back.
Participation in the festival-competition at the Heydar Aliyev Palace.
Memorable prizes for teams and certificates for each participant.

Exclusions:


Extra day: 45 Euro per person (includes three meals a day).
Excursions (available for an additional charge).

Program Information



26 June: Arrival day; accommodation of guests. Evening activities include an acquaintance session and a disco for participants.

27 June: Free day for excursions (upon request). In the evening, the grand opening of the festival will feature each group presenting one performance, followed by a disco.

28 June: Group rehearsals will take place on the hotel grounds after breakfast. Excursions can be arranged upon request.

29 June: Competition day, culminating in a Gala concert of the festival-competition at the Heydar Aliyev Palace. The evening will include the closing ceremony and a banquet for artistic directors.

30 June: Departure of delegations after breakfast.

Excursions Information



A free day is scheduled for 27 June, during which excursions can be arranged upon request from participating groups.
