About the Festival

Welcome to the ХV. International Festival-Competition “Golden Star 2025,” where talented performers from around the world gather to showcase their artistic excellence. Held along the picturesque Black Sea coast in sunny Adjara, this event offers a unique opportunity to participate in both a competition and festival, while immersing in Georgian culture and traditions.

• Competitive categories: Dances, Choirs/Songs, Orchestras, Authentic, Processed, Styled, Pop, Jazz, Modern, Hip-hop.
• Opportunities for master classes, gala concerts, and cultural excursions.
• Excursions to famous cultural and historical landmarks in Georgia.

    II. Choreography (Folk, Pop, Classical, Ballroom, Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Breakdance, Belly Dance, etc.)

    • Solo, Duets, Small Forms (3-5 people), Ensembles
    • Duration: Up to 5 minutes
    • Evaluation: Technique, composition, performance skills, artistry, stage performance, costume, props

    III. Instrumental Genre (Folk, Classical, Pop, Jazz)

    • Solo, Duets, Small Forms (3-5 people), Ensembles, Orchestras
    • Duration: Up to 4 minutes
    • Evaluation: Performance skills, technique, sound mastery, repertoire complexity, originality

    IV. Original Genre (Circus, Acrobatics, Gymnastics, Illusion, etc.)

    • Solo, Duets, Small Forms (3-5 people), Teams
    • Duration: Up to 5 minutes
    • Evaluation: Technical execution, artistic impact, originality, stage presence

    V. Theatrical Creativity (Drama, Puppetry, Musical, Pantomime, Street Theater, etc.)

    • Duration: Up to 10 minutes
    • Evaluation: Artistic impact, stage performance, diction, repertoire selection

    VI. Artistic Word (Poetry, Prose, Fable)

    • Duration: Up to 4 minutes
    • Evaluation: Emotional expression, impact, speech clarity

    VII. Fashion Theaters (Retro, Ethno, Modern, Know-How Collections, etc.)

    • Duration: Up to 10 minutes

    VIII. Visual Arts (Painting, Graphics, Design)

    • Submission: 3 works
    • Evaluation: Originality, execution, theme expression

    • Submission: 3 works
    • Evaluation: Creativity, tradition preservation, artistic execution

    X. Photo Art

    • Submission: 3 works
    • Evaluation: Subject originality, quality, expressiveness

Competition Rules & Requirements

• Soloists, duets, trios: 1 performance at the competition, 1 at the festival
• Small groups (3-4 participants): 1 performance at the competition, 1 at the festival
• Large ensembles (5+ participants): 2 performances at the competition, 1 at the festival
• Fine Arts, Crafts, Photography: Submission of 3 works per participant

Competitive Requirements

• Each ensemble: 1 competition performance + 2 festival performances.
• Solo, duet, small forms: 1 competition performance + 1 festival performance.
• Audio recordings must be high quality (CD, USB, or mini disc).
• Vocalists must perform without backing vocals (+ track not allowed).
