Participation Information
Welcome to the vibrant capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, for a festival celebrating dance, music, and cultural exchange. Surrounded by the Himalayan mountains and steeped in history, Kathmandu offers participants a unique experience in a city where tradition blends seamlessly with modernity. Participation Categories
Festival Participant (Mandatory): Open to all dance and music groups across styles, including folk, classical, contemporary, street, choir, brass bands, orchestras, and more. Festival Competitor (Optional): Available only to participants in the Festival Participant category.
Dance Styles: Folk, Classical, Contemporary, Latin, Modern, Fusion, Choirs, Brass Bands, etc.
Age Group: 7 to 70+ years.
Group Size: Minimum of 4 members, no upper limit.
Music: Performances can feature live or recorded music.
Performance Requirements
Festival Participants: Perform 4 different dance pieces, each lasting 10–15 minutes. Festival Competitors: Performances include: Groups: 10-minute dance routine. Solos/Duets/Trios: 5-minute dance routine. Fees
Festival Participation Fee: 125 Euro/person (5 days/4 nights) 200 Euro/person (6 days/5 nights) 250 Euro/person (7 days/6 nights)
Competition Fees (Additional):
Groups: 100 Euro
Solos/Duets/Trios: 25 Euro (5 Euro for each additional member up to 9).
Awards for Competitors
Groups: 500 Euro, 250 Euro, and 100 Euro with trophies and diplomas. Solos/Duets/Trios: 200 Euro with trophies and diplomas. Additional silver and bronze medals for choreography and costumes at the jury’s discretion. Terms
Travel and Health Insurance Costs: To be covered by participants. Tour Operators: Groups must adhere to the festival’s terms and are not allowed to engage other tour operators under the organizer’s invitation.
