Participation Information
We invite you to participate in the International Music & Folk Dance Festival “Sunny Beach,” held in the renowned Bulgarian resort on the Black Sea, Sunny Beach, near the town of Nesebar.
The festival welcomes performances from children, youth, mixed or veteran folk ensembles, dance groups, majorettes, choirs, orchestras, and vocal groups. As part of the festival, participants will also take part in “Chornomors’ke Beads,” a special event in Sveti Vlas, where you will perform on one of the festival nights.
The festival operates on a review basis, with ensembles from countries including Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia.
The festival will be held over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and you may perform up to three times, or by prior arrangement. However, participation in the final night of the festival (Sunday) is mandatory. Each group is required to prepare at least one choreography, which can be performed multiple times throughout the festival, though having a different performance for each night is encouraged. While musical accompaniment is preferred, it is not mandatory, and groups can perform using a USB.
On the final night, a parade will take place, and awards will be given for the Best Male and Female Folk Costume, as well as the titles of Miss and Mister of the Festival, and the Best Dance Group.
