Participation Information



We are pleased to invite Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Brass Bands, Orchestras, Modern Dance Groups, Majorette Teams (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the IV International Music & Folk-Dance Festival “CROATIA PEARL” from October 2nd to 5th, 2024, in Split, Croatia.

The festival’s goal is to present the cultural traditions of various countries and provide an opportunity for group members to meet, form friendships, and present their cultures through dance and music.

General Festival Rules:



The festival is non-competitive and will showcase traditional and modern dance, choral groups, brass bands, orchestras, modern dance groups, majorette teams, ballroom dance groups, etc.
Groups must consist of no more than 50 participants (including dancers, managers, and musicians).
Each group should prepare a program of 10-12 minutes with orchestral or USB accompaniment.
Groups are required to send a short CV and 2-3 photos of the ensemble.
Each group must bring their country’s flag.
Ensembles must arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
The festival limits the number of participants to three groups from each country.
Accommodation Information
Participants will be accommodated in hotels located on the sea, offering an open buffet breakfast. The festival will provide the following accommodation options:

3-star Hotel (BB – Bed and Breakfast – Open Buffet):
€139 per person for 3 nights.

4-star Hotel (BB – Bed and Breakfast – Open Buffet):
€169 per person for 3 nights.

For those wishing to upgrade:

Double Room: Additional €12 per person per night.
Single Room: Additional €20 per person per night.
Hotel Information:
Accommodation will be provided in the Hotel Zagreb, which boasts its own private beach. For more details, Hotel Zagreb Split

Additional Information:

Tourist Tax: €1.8 per person per day (to be paid upon arrival).
Dinner: Open buffet available at the hotel for an additional €20-25 per person.

Extra Stay


If you wish to extend your stay after the festival, we offer a special rate of €41 per person per day for an additional stay at the hotel (Bed and Breakfast).

Insurance:


Each group is responsible for their own personal and health insurance. Medical services and first aid will be available, but groups must cover any medical expenses.



Transportation:


Groups arriving by plane to Zagreb or Split Airports will be provided with transport during the festival (pick-up, transportation between activities, and return to the airport). Transport costs are to be covered by the group and will be arranged separately.



At the end of the festival, organizers will send each group a DVD and photos of the event. All video materials and pictures are the property of the festival organization.

Program Information



Day 1: Arrival in Split

14:00: Arrival and hotel accommodation. Free time for sunbathing and swimming.

21:00: Welcome reception with group leaders and welcome drinks.



Day 2: Festival Activities

08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.

10:00 – 16:00: Free time for sightseeing in Split or optional excursions to Zadar or Trogir.

18:00 – 19:00: Preparation for the festival parade.

20:00 – 23:00: Festival parade and evening performance at the city’s main square.



Day 3: Workshop and Cultural Exchange

08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.

10:00 – 16:00: Free time for sightseeing or optional excursions to Zadar or Trogir.

20:00 – 23:00: Dance workshops, learning various traditional dances.



Day 4: Leisure and Closing Ceremony

08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast (open buffet).

10:00 – 18:00: Free time for beach activities, or take a boat trip to nearby islands or explore Zadar/Trogir.

21:00 – 00:00: Closing ceremony and presentations (certificates and souvenirs for participants), followed by a disco party.



Day 5: Departure

09:00: Breakfast.

11:00: Departure of participants.



Optional Extended Stay (Day 5 & 6):

09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.

11:00 – 16:00: Enjoy beach time or visit Zadar/Trogir.

21:00 – 00:00: Free time in Split.

Day 6: Breakfast followed by departure.



Festival Organizers Provide:


– Free participation for one person per group (25 dancers = 1 gratis).

– Certificate of attendance.

– Souvenirs and gifts for each group.

– Drinks during performances.

– Free parking.

– Festival advertising (press conferences, posters, TV/radio promotions).

Excursions Information


Participants can enjoy various excursions and activities in Split and surrounding areas during their free time:



Sightseeing:


Explore the rich history of Split, including the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace and the stunning old town.



Optional Excursions:


Visit to Zadar or Trogir, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.



Beach Time:


Enjoy the beaches around Split or take a boat trip to nearby islands for swimming and relaxation.



Free Time Activities:


Marjan Hill: Perfect for hiking, biking, and enjoying nature.


Explore the local markets, cafés, and cultural sites around the city.
