Participation Information
We are pleased to invite Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Ballroom Dance Teams, Art Schools, Modern Ballet Groups, and Majorette Teams (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the V International Dance & Music Festival “Sarajevo Fest”.
The festival’s primary goal is to showcase the cultural traditions of various countries and provide an opportunity for group members to form international friendships while presenting their culture through dance and music. Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is rich in history, culture, and culinary delights, offering an unforgettable experience for participants.
General Rules:
No participation limits: open to children, youth, and adult groups.
The festival is non-competitive, focusing on the performance of traditional and modern dances and music.
Participation is limited to 3 groups per country.
Each group can consist of up to 60 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members.
Each group should prepare at least two folk dances, 10 minutes each, accompanied by live orchestra or USB music.
Performances will be scheduled for the evening hours, allowing groups to explore the city and take part in excursions during the day.
Prizes will be awarded for the best folk costume (men’s and women’s) and the best dancing couple.
Groups are required to send a short CV and photos of their ensemble.
Each group must bring their national flag.
Additional Information:
Groups should arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
A 10% deposit is required for booking, with an advance payment of 30 EUR per person. This advance is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
