Participation Info



We cordially INVITE FOLK-DANCE groups, CHOIRS, MAJORETTE TEAMS, MODERN DANCE groups, Ballroom dance groups, art schools, music theatres, and Orchestras (for CHILDREN, YOUTH & ADULTS) to participate in the XXX International Music & Dance Festival “OHRIDSKI FILIGRANI,” taking place from July 25 – 29, 2025, in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

The festival’s central theme is to showcase the cultural traditions of various countries and regions while fostering friendships and cultural exchange through dance and music. Each group has the right to participate in this non-competitive display of traditional and modern dances and music.

General Rules:



Participation is open to children’s, youth, and adult ensembles.
Limited to three groups from each country.
Each group may consist of up to 60 members (including dancers, managers, and musicians).
Groups should prepare at least two folk dances, each lasting 12-18 minutes, with live orchestration or USB support.
Choral groups must present two performances, each lasting 12-18 minutes: one a cappella in an old city church and one on stage with sound equipment.
Performances will occur in the evening, allowing daytime for sightseeing and excursions.
Groups are encouraged to showcase the best folk costumes and select the best dancing couple.
Please submit a short CV and photos of the group.
Groups should bring a flag representing their country.
Transport for arrival and departure is the responsibility of the groups.

Extended Stay Information:


On your request, You can continue your stay in Ohrid. The price will be 36 Euro per day per person FB and 32 Euro per day per person HB – this is a special price for festival participants that we can provide. For additional days, we will prepare a special program for you.

Program Info



Day 1: Arrival
13:00 Arrival in Ohrid and hotel accommodation, followed by free activities (swimming in Ohrid Lake).
14:00 – 15:00 Lunch (if you choose the 3 meals option).
19:00 – 21:00 Dinner in the hotel.
21:00 Meeting with group leaders.

Day 2: Sightseeing
09:00 – 10:00 Breakfast.
10:00 – 13:00 Ohrid sightseeing.
14:00 – 15:00 Lunch (if you choose the 3 meals option).
19:00 – 21:00 Dinner in the hotel.
21:00 – 23:00 Party in the hotel.

Day 3: Free Time & Festival Evening
08:00 – 10:00 Breakfast.
10:00 – 14:00 Free time at the beach or excursions.
17:00 – 19:00 Dinner in the hotel.
20:00 – 23:00 Ensemble parade and festival evening (presentation of certificates on stage).

Day 4: Boat Cruise
08:00 – 10:00 Breakfast.
10:45 – 16:00 Boat cruise on Ohrid Lake, visiting St. Naum.
19:00 – 21:00 Dinner in the hotel.

Day 5: Departure
09:00 – 10:00 Breakfast.
11:00 Departure of participants.

Optional Extended Stay:
Day 5: Visit to Struga City with various attractions.
Day 6: Free activities or visits to nearby attractions like Vevcani.
Day 7: Visit to Skopje City, including various historical monuments (optional).

Participation Fee: The festival will arrange transportation for groups arriving by plane, with costs covered by the group and agreed upon based on group size. Assistance with visa arrangements is also available.

For personal responsibility, health insurance is advised. First Aid and medical services will be available during the festival.

Excursions Info



Ohrid, a vibrant tourist destination during this period, is rich in cultural heritage and offers plenty of activities and sights. The coastline of Ohrid Lake, stretching 35 km, features beautiful sandy beaches and numerous tourist attractions. The lake’s temperature is a comfortable 25°C, making it ideal for swimming, diving, and yachting.

Suggested Excursions Include:
– Sightseeing in Ohrid, visiting cultural monuments such as St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress, Antique Theatre, Plaosnik, St. Kaneo Church, and the Bridge of Wishes.
– A boat cruise on Ohrid Lake to visit the Museum on Water and St. Naum.
– Free time for beach activities, shopping, or exploring nearby Struga city.
