Participation Information

Eligibility:
Open to children, youth, and adult folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and soloists.

Group Composition:
Each group can include up to 70 members (dancers, managers, musicians, and family). A maximum of three groups per country may participate.

Performance Requirements:

Folk Dance Groups: Minimum of 2 folk dances, each 12–16 minutes, performed with an orchestra or USB.
Choir Groups: Two pieces, 12–16 minutes of free program.
Performances will take place in the evenings, allowing time for sightseeing during the day.
Additional Requirements:

Submit a short group CV and 5 photos.
Bring a flag representing the group’s country.
Organize own transport for arrival and departure.
Provided by Festival Organizers:

Complimentary spot for every 24 participants.
Certificates of participation, souvenirs, and beverages during performances.
Festival promotion (press release, social media, and posters).
Free parking for buses.
Insurance:
Each group is responsible for personal insurance. First aid will be available, but medical services must be covered by the group.

Extended Stay Information:

On your request, You can continue your stay in Ohrid. Price will be 27 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals. For additional days we will prepare a special program for you and a festival evening in another city.

Festival Program Information

Day 1:

Arrival in Ohrid after 13:00, hotel check-in.
19:00–21:00: Dinner
21:00: Festival Director meeting
Day 2:

Morning: Ohrid sightseeing
18:30–19:30: Dinner
20:00: Parade and festival opening
Day 3:

Morning: Ohrid Lake Cruise
Evening: Free time in Ohrid
Day 4:

Morning: Struga and Vevcani Ethno Village visit
Evening: Shopping in Ohrid, Dinner, and party at the hotel
Day 5:

Departure to Skopje with sightseeing options, then depart for home.
Note: Participants are welcome to extend their stay in Ohrid for a special rate of €27 per person per day (HB).

Transportation and Visa Assistance

Transfers are available from Ohrid, Skopje, Tirana, and Thessaloniki airports. Transportation costs are covered by the group, with rates arranged based on group size. We can also assist with visa arrangements if necessary.

Excursion Information

Ohrid Sightseeing: Visit cultural sites including the St. Sofia Church, Samoil Fortress (€2 entrance), Antique Theatre, Plaosnik (€2 entrance), and St. Kaneo Church.

Ohrid Lake Cruise: Cruise to the Museum on Water and St. Naum Monastery (€14 per person).

Struga & Vevcani Ethno Village: Visit Struga and explore the traditional Vevcani Ethno Village.

Skopje Day Trip (Optional): Tour Macedonia’s capital, Skopje, with sites including the Alexander of Macedon statue, National Museum, Macedonian Gate, and Stone Bridge.
