Participation Information


We invite folk groups, choral groups, orchestras, majorette teams, and ensembles of all ages (children, youth, and adults) to participate in the XXII International Folk – Dance & Music Festival “Budva Summer Festival”, taking place from
02 – 10 July 2025 in Budva, Montenegro. The festival offers two participation dates: – From 02 – 06 JulyFrom 06 – 10 July
This non-competitive festival aims to showcase the cultural traditions of different countries and provides an opportunity for groups to build friendships and present their culture through dance and music. Each group must provide:

Short CV,
3 group photos,
Video link of a performance,
Flag of their country.
Participation requires that groups consist of 20-70 members, including dancers, managers, musicians, and family members. Ensembles must prepare at least two performances (10-15 minutes each) with an orchestra or on USB, while choral groups should perform a 12-15 minute program in the city.

Participants must arrange their own transportation for arrival and departure. The number of groups from each country is limited to three.

Accommodation Information



Participants will be accommodated in 3-star hotels located in the heart of Budva, such as Hotel Palma, Hotel Boris, Hotel Sea Star, Hotel Mena, and Hotel 219. Accommodation is offered in the following options: – 3 nights (HB): 119 EUR per person (half-board, 2 meals/day). – 4 nights (HB): 155 EUR per person (half-board, 2 meals/day). – 5 nights (HB): 189 EUR per person (half-board, 2 meals/day).
Additional meals (lunch) can be arranged for 15 EUR per person. Room arrangements are typically:

Leaders and drivers in 2-person rooms.
Other participants in rooms with 3 or 4 persons, each with its own toilet and bathroom. An additional double room is available for 10 EUR per person per day.
The Montenegro Tourist Tax of 1.50 EUR per person per day is payable upon check-in at the hotel. Leaders and drivers receive one complimentary accommodation for every 24 dancers. The festival organizers will also provide souvenirs, gifts, and certificates of participation.

Program Information



The festival program includes various activities, sightseeing tours, and performances. Here’s an outline of the key activities:
Day 1

13:00: Arrival and hotel check-in.
19:00 – 21:00: Dinner at the hotel.
21:00: Welcome reception for group leaders.
Day 2

08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
10:00 – 13:00: Guided sightseeing tour of Budva, followed by a boat trip to St. Stefan Peninsula (14 EUR per person).
17:00 – 18:00: Dinner at the hotel.
19:30 – 23:00: Parade and festival evening, exchange of presents.
Day 3

09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
10:00 – 18:00: Free time or excursion options (boat trip to Tivat, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Blue Cave swimming—26 EUR per person).
17:30 – 19:00: Dinner at the hotel.
21:00 – 00:00: Second festival evening (optional).
Day 4

09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
10:00 – 18:00: Free time or additional excursions (same options as Day 3).
19:00 – 21:00: Dinner at the hotel.
21:00 – 23:00: Disco or dinner at a restaurant with live music.
Day 5 (06.07)

09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
11:00: Departure of participants.
Optional extended stay: Participants can extend their stay for an additional 39 EUR per person per day (half-board).
Day 6 (07.07)

08:00 – 10:00: Breakfast.
11:00: Departure of participants.

Excursions Information



The festival offers several exciting optional excursions for participants:
Aqua Park Budva: A full-day adventure for water lovers.
Boat Trip: Visit the Riviera’s most famous beaches and the Blue Cave.
Sightseeing Tours: Visit Budva Old Town, Tivat, and Kotor with a guide.
Guided Tour to Dubrovnik: Discover the stunning city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Kotor: Explore this UNESCO-listed town famous for its medieval architecture.
National Parks: Visit Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, Prokletije, Lovćen, or Lake Skadar.
