Participation Information
We invite folk groups, choral groups, orchestras, majorette teams, and participants of all ages (children, youth, and adults) to join the VII International Festival “SEA AND SAND DAYS” from June 19-23, 2025, in Ayvalık, Turkey.
Ayvalık is a picturesque seaside town located on the northwestern Aegean coast of Turkey, in the Balıkesir Province. The town is surrounded by the archipelago of Ayvalık Islands, which face the nearby Greek island of Lesbos.
Last year, the festival hosted around 800 participants from countries including Bulgaria, Indonesia, India, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, and Turkey.
Conditions for Participation:
Arrival: June 19, 2025 – 12:00
Departure: June 23, 2025 – 12:00 (after breakfast)
There is no age limit for participants.
The number of participants is not restricted.
Preference will be given to dance groups with live music, though recorded music is also accepted.
Each group should prepare a 5-10 minute program and at least two different performances.
All groups must bring their country’s flag.
An attendance certificate will be given to each participant.
Pocket money will not be provided by the Festival Committee.
After completing the application form, please send:
At least 6 digital pictures of your group
A short description of your group
Videos or links to performances with descriptions
A book showing your country’s folk dance clothing
A local large doll model representing your country’s symbol
Participation Fee:
€199 per person (4 nights / 5 days)
For every 25 participants, one member is free (24+1 offer).
Additional fees:
Double rooms: €5 per person per day
Single rooms: €15 per person per day
