Participation Information
We are delighted to invite Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Brass Bands, Orchestras, Modern Dance Groups, and Majorette Teams of all ages (children, youth, and adults) to participate in the XXII International Music & Folk-Dance Festival “ISTRA FEST” in Pula – Rovinj, Croatia from June 25-29.
The festival aims to showcase cultural traditions from around the world, fostering friendship and cultural exchange through music and dance. Pula, a historical city on Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula, is renowned for its ancient Roman architecture, including the famous Pula Arena and the Arch of the Sergii. Rovinj, a charming fishing port with cobbled streets and the stunning St. Euphemia Church, is another highlight of this cultural experience.
General Rules:
Eligible participants include folklore groups, vocal groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, art schools, choirs, and music bands from all countries.
Groups should prepare a 12-15 minute program (USB or live orchestra).
Each group should bring their national flag.
The festival is limited to 60 participants per group (only three groups per country), including musicians, dancers, leaders, and family members.
A short CV and group photos should be sent via email.
Groups are responsible for their own transportation to and from the festival.
For those arriving by plane, the festival committee can arrange transfers and provide cost information.
